WHAT IS IOWA IDEAS?
Iowa Ideas is a nonpartisan, statewide learning experience design to explore the key questions and big ideas that will shape the future of Iowa.
Created by The Gazette, Iowa Ideas will include events around the state and a series of magazines, all leading up to an inaugural two-day conference in Cedar Rapids in September 2017. Seven key topics – each crucial to Iowa – will be explored.
Topic areas will include Regionalism & Workforce, Transportation, Healthcare, K-12, Higher Education, Agriculture, and Energy & Environment.

WHAT IS THE IOWA IDEAS MAGAZINE?
Published five times in 2017 the Iowa Ideas Magazine provides further insight throughout the year into the topics that we’ll be discussing at the Iowa Ideas Conference in September.
In our third issue we will talk in-depth about important topics to the state of Iowa such as the topic of Iowa's hopes for the wind and solar industries, how rural hospitals balance tight budgets with patient needs, the options that universities have to consider in the face of mounting costs and declining funds, and much more!
